How to Finish HYROX Under 75 Minutes
Sub-75 is the threshold for competitive Open-division finishers and most Pro-division women. Roughly the top 10-15% of the field.

Station capacity
100 wall balls in 3 sets or fewer; sled push/pull at race weight with one short reset acceptable; broken-set tolerance under fatigue
What You Need to Train
- Mixed running plan: 1 long run, 1 threshold/tempo, 1 interval session per week, plus easy aerobic miles
- At least one full station-rotation simulation per training block to lock in transition discipline
- Strength work focused on holding race-weight under fatigue — not raw 1-rep maxes
- Wall-ball capacity work: sets of 30-50 after run-fatigue, not fresh sets of 100
The Three Mistakes That Cost Sub-75 Athletes Their Time
- 1Pacing the runs by feel — sub-75 is a math problem. Running at 5:00/km matters even on the recovery sections
- 2Skipping sandbag-lunge volume in training because it's uncomfortable — under-trained quads cost 60-90 seconds at this tier
- 3Underestimating Run 5-8 — they're 50% slower than fresh-leg runs for most athletes, sub-75 pacing must budget for that
